Technical Enablement Skillsbase Lead

The Technical Skillsbase lead will be responsible for ensuring technical resources have the functional skills (skills outside of the PTC products) needed to be effective in the field. This resource will manage the Skillsbase database inclusive of driving competency refreshes, working with the leadership team to evaluate competency gaps, and build and execute functional skills enablement plans. Work with subject matter experts to build a functional skills strategy and curate the right content to build these skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Skillsbase database

  • Work with leadership to build functional skills competency model

  • Translate business needs into documented requirements, focused on functional skills.

  • Define the optimal enablement program strategy for functional skills

  • Work with SMEs, Instructional Designers, and Content Developers to curate and/or build functional skills content

  • Work with Technical and Audience Enablement Leads to identify functional skills needs and design curriculum to address those needs

  • Enable management to evaluate skills of their teams and identify gaps using the Skillsbase tool

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of enablement planning, instructional design and program management experience in a enablement team

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, building and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with customers and internal teams.

  • Understanding of how technical resources learn

  • Ability to proactively identify problems and propose solutions

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate's background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the salary range for this position to be between $100,000 - $145,000. The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location and may also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus. Additionally, every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant. Subject to the terms and conditions of PTC's benefits programs, employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave policies, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and a generous commuter subsidy.
