Operations Business Partner

Location: Remote, USA (Must be able to work EST or CST hours)

In this exciting role, you'll collaborate with business leaders to manage financial and operational forecasts, control key business levers, and support the Revenue Recognition Process. You'll act as a liaison for the local finance team, handle budgeting processes, and create functional processes for alignment. Additionally, you'll interpret financial metrics, communicate variances, and ensure forecasts align with business objectives. Completing projects, identifying system enhancements, and supporting the Billing Readiness process are also key aspects of this role.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and drive with business leaders to review, validate, and manage financial and operational forecasts, including cost, revenue, and resource planning.
  • Identify and partner with Services Management to control business levers (e.g., KPIs, accruals, policies, headcount).
  • Support Revenue Recognition Process by informing stakeholders and ensuring execution on actions.
  • Serve as a common interface to local finance team for escalation items.
  • Manage and partner with the Geo Lead on yearly budgeting process, including collecting and consolidating Plan data, preparing tools, providing recommendations, and historical analysis.
  • Define and create functional processes and procedures for consistent structure and cross-functional alignment.
  • Interpret and relate financial and operational metrics to business performance.
  • Inform and communicate to Services Management regarding variances from budget/forecast or historical trend.
  • Review, report, and consolidate bookings, revenue, and expense forecast for Services Management within the established cadence.
  • Liaise with Finance organization to establish, review, and adjust direct expense forecast as needed.
  • Verify that expense forecasts align with revenue forecasts, ensuring all projections are logically tied together and support overall business objectives.
  • Complete projects identified and defined in collaboration with senior management.
  • Identify system enhancements and reporting improvements; participate in related projects as required.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management to define processes to address identified gaps and exposure; own or participate in execution of identified processes.
  • Support and oversee Billing Readiness process.
Required Experience
  • Experience with management of P&L
  • Strong Change Management Skills
  • Strong Leadership and cross-functional collaborative skills
  • Bachelor degree in Finance or related field
  • 5-7 years' work experience in reporting, process improvement role
  • Highly proficient in all MS Office products
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills and a drive for results
  • Capacity to learn fast and understand complex business situations
  • Works effectively in a fast-paced environment, under pressure and is comfortable with multi-tasking
  • Understands the key business drivers relating to own area; uses this knowledge to focus own work
  • Ability to demonstrate the ability to multi-task, understand the fundamentals of contracting including offer, acceptance, consideration, and intent to create a legal relationship
  • Utilizes strong analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically with financial and business acumen skills operations, and subcontracts managers
  • Willingness to work across time zones and adapt to global team dynamics

PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate's background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the salary range for this position to be between $94,000 - $135,000. The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location and may also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus. Additionally, every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant. Subject to the terms and conditions of PTC's benefits programs, employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave policies, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and a generous commuter subsidy.
