We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting paraprofessional to join our growing and dynamic Family Office team. The ideal candidate will support accounting operations by performing a range of bookkeeping, clerical, and administrative tasks, including data entry, financial record maintenance, and payroll processing. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent organization and communication skills.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Various administrative and bookkeeping duties for clients and associates such as bill paying; accounts payable processing; cash flow reporting and budgeting
  • Accurate and timely payroll processing, which will include calculating wages, federal, state and local taxes as well as benefits
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and generating payroll reports for clients and accounting purposes
  • Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with various states
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Accounting degree with at least 3 years of direct experience working in accounting/finance employment; deep understanding of accounting and payroll practices and principles.
  • Proficiency using QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Bill.com, Hubdoc, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines and work efficiently
  • Strong communication skills, clear and concise verbal and written communication to interact with various individuals
  • Attention to detail, ability to accurately manage information and complete tasks with precision
  • Discretion and confidentiality, maintaining privacy regarding sensitive information Adaptability and flexibility, ability to adjust to changing priorities and demands

Minimum QualificationsRequired

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least 2 years of accounting work experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally

The hourly rate for this job in this market is $36.06 - $45.67. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
