Staff Accountant
POSITION SUMMARY The Staff Accountant is responsible for account reconciliation and auditing. This position will be assigned special accounting projects and reports directly to the Accounting Manager. JOB FUNCTIONS Include the following, and other duties as assigned: ? Manage complex excel spreadsheets for specific account reconciliation ? Submit government contract information and billing on government websites. ? Support and backup Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions. ? Prepare and enter journal entries as necessary and reconcile against financial statements for specified accounts ? Update M2M Foreign Currency monthly ? Assist in monthly closings. ? Various Customer Service functions within the accounting department ? Maintain and manage Sales Tax Exempt Certificates using Avalara Software. ? Maintain accurate files. ? Regular and reliable attendance. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to work independently, be able to handle multi-tasked projects and set priorities as necessary. * Minimum two years of college or related training; can be combined with 3 years minimum of accounting and/or tax experience. * Made2Manage (M2M) a plus or another form of windows-based database accounting system. * Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook | |
