R&D Analytical Lead

Effectively use project management/milestone planning techniques to support the smooth launch of new products. Research assigned products, concepts, opportunities, and materials. Use experimental designs, research, and analyses and interprets data to evaluate the stability of prototype/products and propose methods for improvement. Recommend product modifications and process improvements. Support scale-up and pilot plant processing. Generate and approve validation reports, analytical reports, and other documents. Ensure good laboratory practices and established lab rules are followed in the laboratory. Ensure laboratory records are maintained in a complete and orderly manner including data recording and calculating and proper labelling of solutions or standards. Documents project and processes. Regularly interact with all company departments and subcontractors and partners to identify, communicate, troubleshoot, and help resolve operational issues. Lead problem solving in terms of analytical means relevant to root-cause-analysis, customer complaints, new product development, and process improvement. Adhere to all GMPs, compliance/regulatory mandates and quality requirements. Maintain currency with the technical literature in one's field of expertise to identify appropriate analytical tests and models.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemistry, or a related field. One (1) year of experience as Laboratory Analyst, Analytical Testing Specialist, or similar. Experience must include the following: Laboratory experience in a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment; implementing laboratory methodology, systems, and equipment; designing, analyzing, coordinating, or conducting experimental activities; using GMPs and regulatory requirements for highly regulated markets; evaluating and communicating technical information; working with laboratory quality manuals, user guides, or equipment calibration reports; and using Microsoft Office Suite.
