What You'll Do in This Position

Provide quality control support to the project team and direct personnel to implement quality requirements and to accurately status the results. Perform construction quality control inspection and surveillance activities in support of project and/or maintenance activities.

Review design output documents in accordance with approved procedures in order to establish inspection requirements in quality assurance procedures, construction plans, and/or work packages. Coordinate with internal and external sources to resolve quality issues and provide status of the inspection/test activities for the work activity. Review technical criteria, personnel qualifications and work sequence on work packages including the notation of hold points prior to performance of inspections. Perform or direct the quality inspection activities of subordinate QC engineers and other inspection personnel as assigned. Assist in resolution of code, specifications and drawing interpretations. Perform or supervise the performance of inspection, witness, test, surveillance, and documents the results of the inspection activities. Assess the completeness of construction activities and quality verification documentation prior to preparation of quality control releases for turnover. Review subcontractor's quality program for compliance to established procedures, attends mobilization meetings and monitors their activities for proper implementation. Review suppliers and/or subcontractor's quality verification documentation for traceability and specification compliance. Review, assess and status subcontractors costs, manpower and materials. Approve subcontracts invoices and application for payment.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre-employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Qualifications We Require

High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent State Credential

Qualifications We Desire

Working experience with ASME B31.3, performing Examiner & Owner's Inspector functions.
Construction experience in the disciplines of Piping and Mechanical inspections.
Performance of design review, approval, and field execution.
