Within CO+I, the strategic Procurement team is responsible for establishing a supply chain that can meet the ever-growing growth of the Microsoft Cloud and our customers. We support a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-billion, multi-year datacenter construction and operations of those assets. We are looking to fill the critical role of Strategic Sourcing Leader. Responsibilities Lead and manage the Capital Funding process for Procurement.Coordinate with project controls, regional leads & finance teams to assess funding requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.Monitor and track spending to ensure adherence to budget and financial targets.Develop and implement global sourcing and procurement policies, processes, and procedures.Create standardized sourcing policies that align with best practices and regulatory compliance.Establish robust procurement processes to streamline vendor selection, negotiation, and PO placement.Regularly review and update procedures to address emerging market trends and organizational needs.Lead internal audit scope.Conduct periodic internal audits to ensure adherence to procurement policies and detect any irregularities.Collaborate cross-functionally to develop comprehensive audit plans and schedules.Implement corrective actions and improvements based on audit findings to enhance procurement integrity.Promote operational excellence and integration between field and global teams.Foster collaboration and communication between field operations and global headquarters to ensure cohesive strategy execution.Implement best practices for operational efficiency, reducing redundancies and enhancing overall productivity.Encourage continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation and performance optimization.Standardize and enhance procurement efficiencies across regions.Identify and implement standardized procurement practices to achieve consistency across regions.Leverage technology and data analytics to streamline procurement workflows and improve decision-making processes.Establish and operationalize global performance metrics.Define key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure the effectiveness and success of procurement activities globally.Develop reporting mechanisms and dashboards to track and communicate performance metrics.Use performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive strategic initiatives.Implement change control and product governance.Establish a framework for managing changes in the procurement process, ensuring minimal disruption to process execution.Engage stakeholders in change management efforts to secure buy-in and support for new initiatives.Develop a vision for AI sourcing and procurement and collaborate with stakeholders for implementation.Create a strategic roadmap for integrating AI and regional build sourcing and procurement processes.Lead the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team to drive efficiency and productivity Weekly reviews to ensure proper attention and use of resourcesPrepare QBR readouts in conjunction with 3rd party support to gain alignment across procurementCollaborate with CO+I & EPC on the Supplier as Customers program and lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives.Procurement liaison for mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers, recognizing them as strategic partners.Implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve supplier engagement and satisfaction.Develop roadmap for supplier engagement and partner across region to drive supplier results and standard report out templates. Represent Procurement in developing training plans in partnership with EPC training leads.Participate in the creation and execution of comprehensive training plans for procurement team.Collaborate with EPC training leads to identify skill gaps and design targeted training programs.Ensure training initiatives align with organizational goals and promote professional development within the procurement team.Other: Embody our culture and values
