Job Summary

The Building Maintenance Technician provides immediate, preventative, and corrective maintenance support to the building and equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspects the building for repairs and preventive maintenance needs. Document and track work to be prioritized and completed. Make immediate repairs and performs preventative maintenance on the building and equipment assets of the facility.
  • Work may include any of the following: installing and maintaining lighting, general upkeep of the facility including drywall repair, painting, flooring issues, minor roofing, plumbing repairs, and troubleshoots HVAC/electrical equipment problems.
  • Coordinate contractors to complete any work outside scope of technician's capability.
  • Performs any other facility maintenance as needed.
  • Maintains a safe work area, ensuring all rules and regulations are adhered to.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of work experience required.
  • Prior experience in facility maintenance, including the following areas: general contracting, construction, mechanical, electrical, painting, and plumbing.
  • Basic computer application and technology skills; knowledge of how to operate a smart phone and/or laptop.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of using maintenance equipment including, but not limited to, hand tools, ladders, safety equipment, etc.

Physical Requirements

  • Speaking: Often (investigates, coordinates, recommends, reports)
  • Acute Vision: Constantly (observing both near and far, reading documents)
  • Mobility: Frequent travel throughout facility and equipment
  • Bending/Squatting: Frequent bending and squatting to complete maintenance/installation tasks.
  • Dexterity: Frequent use of hands to preform maintenance/repair tasks.
  • Lifting: Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Climbing: Occasional use of ladders or stairs.

Pay:$20.00 an hour
