Quality Assurance Manager

Atwork Personnel has an exciting opportunity for a short-term contract Quality Assurance Manager - Food Production. You name your hourly rate. We need a Quality Assurance Manager with a strong background in SWF and Audit experience. Our client has an audit coming up and would like some extra help preparing for the audit, and possibly some help passing the audit. This would be an hourly position for the next 2 months.

What you'll do:

• Act as the Food Safety team leader for the facility; help with SQF compliance and audit review
• Troubleshoot and determine the root cause of quality problems in production.
• Make sure site SOP are in compliance with Corporate SOP and Corporate Quality Manual.
• Oversee and manage the inspection and disposition finished products; file and archive inspections records, including supplier's CoA
• Perform and document SQF compliance as required.
• Review and approve proposed changes under a Change Protocol.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in food manufacturing and pharmaceuticals, SQF production standards and audit exp.
• SQF or NSF certification is a STRONG plus
• Bi-lingual in Spanish and English a strong plus
• Agility and ability to pivot and manage critical issues effectively, along with appropriate and timely escalation of issues.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
• In-depth knowledge of FDA regulatory requirements.
• Attention to detail; multi-tasking skills; excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work independently.*

• This is an hourly position. Hourly rate can be from $70 - $100 dollars an hour based on your experience.
