Location Site: Salem Hospital Main Campus/Remote; 890 Oak St SE, Salem, Oregon 97301Department: SH IS Information SecurityPosition Type: Full Time, 40 hours/week, ExemptStart time/Shift/Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Monday - Friday Your role with usWe're seeking a seasoned Senior Information Security Analyst to join our team at Salem Health, where you'll lead efforts to resolve complex security incidents, oversee access controls, and drive continuous improvement in information security processes. You'll work closely with our Information Security Officer to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic plans to address them. Your expertise will help shape our information security policies and procedures, ensuring the protection of our information systems.What you'll doPerforms analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex information security problems and incidents for the Hospital. Assists with monitoring information security issues and advises the Information Security Officer about applicability of new emerging technologies. Independently manage individual projects as assigned. Oversees the security and user access controls of Salem Health's information systems. Assists the Information Security Officer in identifying areas within Salem Health's information systems environment requiring improvements to information security. Leads the development of plans to address these issues. Oversees the Access Management process and is responsible for leading continuous performance improvements in this area. Assists in reporting security analysis results using multiple tools. Promotes, communicates, and models the importance of the organization's Information Security Policies and Procedures. Assists in the definition and development of Information Security Policies and Processes. Assists management in developing long-term architectural strategies around technology or content in area of expertise. Carries out strategy through consulting or advisory means. Produces knowledge articles, architecture documents, and strategic plans as needed to guide the technical strategy of the department. Holds others accountable to utilizing and keeping that documentation up to date within their content area. Proactively helps coordinate and plan strategic initiatives within core area of expertise that will meet customer's needs based on thorough understanding of customer's function and industry standards. Assists managers and staff in producing training and career development plans for the department within area of expertise. Background/experienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred, OR Eight years related work experience, OR Equivalent combination of education and experience where each year of education equates to two years of experience (four years of experience will be substituted for an Associate's Degree and eight years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor's degree) Minimum of five (5) years of IT or related operational experience requiredMinimum of five (5) years of experience within a given technology or knowledge field. Industry standard certifications within the given content area of expertise to be obtained within one (1) year of hire: CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent) required; Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred.Will take whatever steps necessary to maintain industry standard certifications and methods. Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills; Solid communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to work in department and interdepartmentally to articulate ideas, negotiate resolution of issues, and achieve objectives.Able to lead knowledge teams and meetings.
