Position Description

- Bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist when installing, repairing, and servicing equipment; perform simple and power grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation; and lift or carry weight of 75 pounds or less.

- Maintain and review records related to work activities and work orders.

- Respond to emergency maintenance requests.

- Perform basic repairs and improvements to facility (office or lab).

- Coordinate and oversee work of outside contractors when needed.

- Monitor (on call) all cold storage units using REES system during work and every other week nights and weekends and react accordingly which may include coming on site to resolve.

- Read and interpret plans, specifications and manuals.

- Ability to climb ladders, stand and perform overhead work.

- Perform monthly inspections on safety showers, eyewash stations.

- Perform monthly inspections on fire extinguishers.

- Effectively contribute collaboratively to a team effort, The site size is 62,000sqft and consist of office, lab and warehouse space.

- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and writing.

- Collect biological waste and chemical waste and assist with waste removal via 3rd party.


Position Requirements

- Any combination of education and experience that will provide the ability to perform the work and provide the performance results as stated above. May include building maintenance, facilities, janitorial, etc....

- Computer skills related to data entry/retrieval. Microsoft Office Suite

- Work with vendors and contractors, ensure work is done and of quality workmanship.

- General maintenance tools and equipment.

- Basic principles and practices of record keeping.

- Occupational hazards and standard safety practices.

- Able to lift, push and pull 75 pounds.
