Job Summary

The Grain Elevator Technician (GET) III level performs all of the GET I and II tasks with minimal supervision and has at least 3 years of experience working in a grain elevator. In addition, the GET III performs all aspects of grain elevator maintenance (welding, cutting, fabrication, installation, lubrication, repair and replacement, troubleshooting, etc.). Each employee is responsible for their own safe work behavior and the safety of their coworkers. Employees in this position will be required to maintain a positive, forthright attitude that promotes a collaborative, respectful, and diverse corporate culture, and conduct themselves in a professional and favorable manner.


Qualifications

Required Education and Experience



  • High school diploma or GED degree and/or equivalent training required.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a grain elevator.
  • Must have valid driver's license to drive company vehicles.
  • Maintenance experience with mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Proven ability to improve elevator operations.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs such as MS suite, and agriculture software programs such as Agris, and One Weigh required.
  • Proven interpersonal skills; must support a team-oriented and inclusive approach with a high level of integrity and reliability.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with employees and customers.
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety guidelines.
  • Must be able to work extended hours as needed.
