DataBank is seeking a Operations Project Manager to join our Data Center Operations team. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in shaping and enhancing how our organization operates. You will analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, design innovative systems and tools tailored to our needs, and implement solutions that streamline processes and drive measurable improvements. This position requires a hands-on approach to leveraging technologies and methodologies to automate tasks, reduce redundancies, and improve productivity. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our operations align with strategic goals while fostering DataBank's commitment to operational excellence and ensuring that our services consistently exceed customer expectations.
Responsibilities??
Process Analysis & Design:
- Evaluate existing business processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and map out desired workflows.
- Create and maintain detailed process documentation to support team workflows.
- Flowcharts, diagrams, and other tools.
- Regularly review workflows to ensure they adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Review and update all processes on an annual basis to create continual engagement.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and verify technical information.
Technology Integration:
- Leverage tools like Microsoft SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI, Sigma, Excel, and other software to automate and streamline workflows.
- Integrate solutions that align with business goals, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
- Apply knowledge of APIs for seamless software integrations
- Administer and manage software platforms while ensuring system compatibility.
Implementation & Monitoring:
- Lead process implementation projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
- Test and troubleshoot workflows to refine performance.
- Monitor processes post-implementation to identify improvement opportunities.
- Report milestones and results.
- Create a feedback loop to support continual improvement.
Training & Support:
- Develop training programs and user-friendly documentation for teams.
- Provide guidance on tools and processes to enhance adoption.
- To travel up to 25-49% of the time, depending on business needs and project requirements.
- Availability to respond to occasional questions outside of standard business hours.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging tools for process optimization.
- Regularly review workflows to ensure they adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Adapt to evolving business needs by taking on additional responsibilities and projects that align with the company's growth and strategic objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address operational challenges effectively.
- Hands-on experience with process mapping tools like Visio or Lucidchart to document workflows and optimize efficiency.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps, and Excel, for workflow automation and data management.
- Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to lead meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional collaborations.
- Familiarity with process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- A strong knowledge or experience in business analysis, IT, or operations management, ensuring an understanding of technical and operational requirements.
- Skilled in reviewing and updating content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and compliance with organizational standards.
- Experience maintaining a digital documentation library.
- Knowledge of developing graphical images, diagrams, and charts to enhance data understanding.
- Communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
- Strong knowledge of data center operations.
