FORT LAUDERDALE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER is a 182-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park neighborhood of South FL. Fort Lauderdale Beahavioral Health Center features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Heath Center.

Qualifications

Education/Training:

  • High school diploma, Associates or higher degree preferred
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required or equivalent

Experience:

  • Experience in working with mental health population a plus
  • Excellent Customer Service skills required
  • Experience in answering multi-line telephones and high call volumes
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Experience in working with insurance plans, knowledge of insurance verification process a plus
  • Establish and maintain chart records

Licensure/Certification:

  • CPR Certification

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must be well organized with high attaention to detail
  • Demonstrate ability to multi task
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to perform statistical data tasks
  • Competent in the use of appropriate sensitivity with all clients
  • Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices
  • Knowledge of HIPPA regulations and Performance Improvement
