Position Summary:

The Outreach Specialist assists with recruitment of potential program participants by disseminating information about the program to internal and external audiences. This may include phone calls, presentations, attending community events to disseminate program materials for marketing purposes, and meeting 1:1 with individuals. The Outreach Specialist may assist with participant and partners meetings, events and activities to raise awareness about the program and to create opportunities for engagement.

Day in the life: In a typical day, an Outreach Specialist can expect to...



  • Recruitment: Ensures that walk-ins and other individuals inquiring about services are aware of program opportunities, eligibility guidelines, and steps necessary to engage and enroll in services
  • Outreach: Completes logistical set up of outreach activities in the community.
  • Documentation: Assists with gathering and maintaining documentation of all recruitment and outreach activities.



Job Pay & Perks:



  • Typical starting pay range: $25.24 - $37.07
  • This is a flexible-hybrid role whose essential functions allow the employee to primarily work from a personal home office but also require the employee to work at a physical GESMN or partner facility as business needs require, sometimes with great urgency and little notice.

About You:

Required Knowledge & Skills:



  • Proven verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to speak in a public setting
  • Basic computer literacy skills
  • Effective time management
  • Proven ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals with varying backgrounds



Prior Experience & Education:



  • 1-3 Years of relevant experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience conducting community outreach preferred
  • Experience providing workforce development services preferred
