Job Title: C5ISR Systems Engineering Lead

Location: Pascagoula, MS, US

Position Overview

The C5ISR Systems Engineering Lead oversees the design, integration, and maintenance of electrical systems that support Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) operations. This role ensures that military-grade electrical and electronic systems are reliable, efficient, and secure. The position reports directly to the Senior C5ISR Project Engineer within the C5ISR Project Engineering Office.

Job Responsibilities

Leadership

* Lead a diverse team of C5ISR electrical engineers and designers, ensuring the successful progression of assigned work.

* Communicate effectively with Project Engineering, Supply Chain Management, and production personnel to meet program requirements and project schedules.

* Oversee departmental goals and performance within the C5ISR engineering team.

Design & Development

* Develop system integration plans for electrical systems, circuits, and components for C5ISR platforms, including communication, surveillance, and combat systems.

* Review and implement electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface designs for military-grade systems.

* Design power distribution systems, electrical control systems, and high-performance circuits.

System Integration

* Integrate C5ISR systems with other subsystems, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation across platforms.

* Conduct testing and troubleshooting of C5ISR systems in lab and field environments.

* Ensure systems meet required performance standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, ABS).

Maintenance & Upgrades

* Oversee the planning and execution of maintenance, repair, and modifications for existing electrical and electronic systems.

* Provide engineering support for system upgrades and modernization.

Technical Documentation

* Prepare and review technical documentation, including specifications, technical manuals, and maintenance procedures.

* Write detailed reports and provide recommendations for system improvements.

Project Management

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., mechanical and software engineers) on C5ISR projects.

* Manage project timelines, budgets, and technical milestones for successful engineering solutions.

* Act as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for C5ISR projects, ensuring accuracy and continuous improvement in:

o Earned Value Management System (EVMS)

o Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RTVM) inputs

Compliance & Testing

* Ensure electrical designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.

* Lead testing procedures, including environmental testing, electromagnetic interference (EMI) testing, and system performance validation.

Problem Solving

* Identify and resolve complex electrical and systems engineering challenges in C5ISR systems.

* Apply advanced engineering principles to enhance reliability and performance in harsh environments.

Qualifications

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

* Experience: 10+ years of experience preferred; minimum of 5 years required.

o Experience in electrical design and development in the defense or military sector.

* Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, PSpice).

o Ability to read and interpret electrical designs, blueprints, and drawings.

o Knowledge of C5ISR systems and operational requirements.

o Familiarity with military standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810).

o Expertise in circuit design, power systems, EMI/EMC, and signal processing.
