ESSENTIAL TASKS:


* Perform all required duties to pack and ship a wide variety of high temperature alloys following established methods and procedures.
* Work from sales, shipping or other orders and documents to locate and accumulate all specified materials to fill individual orders.
* Wrap, strap, protect, pack or otherwise prepare orders for shipment.
* Use standard cartons or construct required skids, boxes, crates or other shipping containers.
* Apply prescribed color or other coding and identification to materials.
* Cut shipping stencils, mark and stamp containers, and perform other related duties as required to completely prepare orders for shipment.
* Exercise care in the selection of materials, handling and packing to avoid intermixing of alloys, damage through mishandling or incorrect protection. Enter quantity, mill order number and other data on mill order traveler for forwarding to Production Planning for bill of lading preparation.
* Store incoming materials in designated racks, bins or other storage areas and locations.
* Post simple receipt and issuance quantities to cards or orders; assist in the maintenance of other related store records as directed.
* Detect and report defective materials, improper and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
* Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
* Follow prescribed safety regulations.
* Assist in training new employees.
* Perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:



  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to maintain IME certification by fulfilling all requirements.
  • Knowledge of Quality system & deviation and disposition reporting.
  • Knowledge of hazards of contamination in titanium.
  • Knowledge of identification procedures.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures for assigned equipment and process.
