Qualifications you'll bring:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required. Equivalent experience in a previous role or function is acceptable.
  • The availability to work full-time, hybrid and any travel requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in premium billing, collections, or a related area within the healthcare finance sector.
  • A minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management capacity
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing premium billing and payment operations team
  • Strategic thinker with the capability to effectively organize workloads and resources, allocate tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Curiosity to foster innovation and pave the way for growth
  • Humility to play as a team

Your key responsibilities:




  • Proactive leader to oversee a team dedicated to premium billing and payment functions for both group and individual customers across our diverse product lines
  • Managing a multi-million dollar premium billing and payment operation, implementing best practices to ensure efficient balance collection, minimizing bad debt, and significantly contributing to the financial health of our organization
  • Standardizing, maintaining, and monitoring key metrics and process controls for audit and compliance purposes
  • manage various premium billing cycles, oversee the distribution of group and customer invoices through our fulfillment partner, manage lockbox reconciliation, drive initiatives for improving digital adoption and techniques in premium billing, and be accountable for managing and reporting on outstanding balances
  • Coordinating with enrollment teams and customer service to handle both manually and automated processes for terminations for non-payment as well as reinstatements, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to policy
  • Contribute to our humble pursuit of excellence by performing various responsibilities that may arise, reflecting our collective goal of enhancing healthcare delivery and being the difference for the customer.

The base pay range provided for this role reflects our good faith compensation estimate at the time of posting. MVP adheres to pay transparency nondiscrimination principles.
