Job Description:

Orano TN is seeking a Business Line Manager-Transportation. This position is responsible for managing the transportation, front end packages, and waste business line. This includes increasing customer portfolio revenue, operating income, and for executing projects in accordance with customer expectations, applicable regulations, and Company directives. The position is responsible for defining and executing business plans and attainment of revenue and operating goals at the product line level.

BLTS (Business Line Transport & Services) activity in US Operation and Transports for Front End - Back End and Waste Business. The business manager is accountable for all projects in BLTS US scope. To reach this goal, the person has to manage the team in the US region, part of which resides in Richland, WA and in Columbia, MD offices. They must strongly interface with other departments in the US (Sales, Ops, Fabrication, Engineering, Finance, HR) but also with teams in different countries.

The Business Line Manager-Transportation will perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to:

  • Maintains current customer base and provides individualized care and attention to customers while implementing business development initiatives.
  • Manages primary interface with customers, directs proposal preparation, and ensures proper contract execution.
  • Proposes product applications and solutions so product and service deliveries meet customer requirements.
  • Proposes long-term plans and cost improvement programs to assist in achieving business objectives.
  • Drives strategic initiatives to gain market share and assess ROI on what is needed for capital investments to grow business products.
  • Prepares, revises and manages business line budgets.
  • Negotiates customer contracts with support of Sales team and project managers.
  • Prepares and executes projects through coordination of required resources: Design Engineering, Fabrication Control, Fleet Asset Mgmt, Operations and Field Services, Transportation, Operational Performance.
  • Manages and mitigates project risks; prepares and monitors project schedules.
  • Mentors PMs in key activities including organizing and directing personnel, materials and equipment; utilizes team building skills to ensure satisfactory contract/project performance.
  • Ensures implementation of adequate communication and information rules by project managers for internal and external interfaces.
  • Prepares activity reporting/dashboards.
  • Partners and communicates with counterparts in France, Germany, and other countries as needed, to work as one team in driving strategy.
  • Preferred to have background in Dept of Transportation regulations.

Ideal qualifications

All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position:

  • BS in Engineering, Business or related degree, or additional experience in lieu of degree, plus minimum of 12 years of experience in a related capacity.
  • Experience in conducting international projects.
  • Fluent in English and French preferred.
  • Leadership, ability to encourage people, and experience in budget management. Ability to analyze and to anticipate capacity to propose innovative technical solutions.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior leadership and change management skills.
  • Proficiency with PC-based applications such as MS Office.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
  • Ability to change priorities quickly, confront issues directly and work well as part of a team.

Please Note: The provided pay information is a guideline. Your offered salary is based upon experience, qualifications, geographic location, as well as market and business considerations.
Pay Range: $175-200k per year
