Work as a team or individually, with moderate supervision on licensing matters; coordinate the acquisition of State Consumer Finance, Mortgage licenses and local city/county business licenses; assist internal customers (e.g., Attorneys, State Exam Team and Regulatory Reporting) in analyzing and resolving licensing issues and/or state regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.

In the Role

  • Receive and review request for State and/or local city/county lending licenses.
  • Coordinate with internal departments in obtaining necessary information and documentation for filing new, maintaining, or renewing individual, branch, or company licenses.
  • Maintains records, compiles information, and submits the necessary forms to keep companies, branches and loan officers licensed.
  • Submits materials to state and governmental agencies for new license as and/or for license renewals.
  • Respond to questions and/or provide advice regarding licensing policies, procedures, or state regulations.
  • Assist with Special Projects as required.
  • Assist with the administration and maintenance of the State Licensing Information Management System "SLIM."

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, business operations or administrative management, legal studies, real estate, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong people skills and must be able to work under pressure.
  • Good understanding of the SAFE Act and knowledge of the operational mechanics of NMLS.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the mortgage industry, preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work with little to no supervision.
  • 2-4 years of experience in mortgage industry, or similar experience in customer service, project management, Internet research, report preparations utilizing computer software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint databases.
  • Previous licensing experience, knowledge, and familiarity with NMLS.

Location: Baltimore, MD; Evansville, IN

Baltimore, MD Pay Transparency: Target base salary range is $40,000-60,000, which is based on various factors including skills and work experience. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a competitive compensation program that is based on individual and company performance
