Overview

The Carle Manager of Finance is responsible for the accounting and finance operations of Carle Central/South hospitals and business units including production of periodic financial reports, oversight of accounting systems, adherence to a comprehensive set of internal controls, management of budgets, oversight of respective Analysts and Accountants, enhance accuracy of organization's reported financial results and ensure reported results comply with GAAP, state and federal regulations. This position is also responsible for other corporate functional accounting areas as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management

Other Knowledge/Skills:

  • Supervisory experience - One (1) year
  • Healthcare experience - Three (3) years
  • Accounting/Finance experience - Five (5) years

Responsibilities

  • Managerial oversight of accounting and financial operations of Carle Central/South hospitals
  • Managerial oversight of provider groups and certain Carle Central/South and Corporate business units.
  • Responsible for the development and supervision of direct reports
  • Hiring, proper training/cross-training, and planning and leading activities.
  • Manages development, action and goals through the performance management system.
  • Collaborate with other leaders and staff on problem solving and analysis
  • Communication with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting process of hospitals and certain business units
  • Analyze revenue and cost variances against budgets
  • Assist leaders with action planning as needed based upon outcomes of analysis.
  • Research accounting issues for compliance with GAAP
  • Act as a liaison to internal and external auditors and other external reporting agencies
  • Assist with preparation and review of quarterly and year-end audited financial statements.
  • Interpret general ledger internal control needs
  • Works with internal auditors in planning and implementing solutions in identified areas.
  • Cultivate continuous process improvement.
  • Keep abreast of current industry regulations and happenings.
  • Responsible for other duties as required/assigned.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of fundamental financial planning and analysis reporting.
  • Collaborating with operational leaders throughout Carle Central/South Hospitals and provider groups on productivity management, growth opportunities, and strategic planning.
  • Performing ad-hoc analysis where required to assist in management decision making.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $44.47per hour - $76.49per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
