Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, a technical field or equivalent job-related experience (4+ years) is required.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire, but must be obtainable within a reasonable period of time as determined by program requirements. Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Progeny Systems, a business area within the General Dynamics Mission Systems company, is a high-tech business focusing on software and hardware system integration, cutting-edge research and development, and manufacturing. We deliver architectures, designs, testing, and production of the current and next generation torpedo guidance and control systems for the Department of Defense providing the warfighter with advanced capabilities in target detection, acquisition, and prosecution. Implementing and maintaining an Engineering Change Notice System, including product improvements, repairs, and new product development, the Advanced Configuration Management Associate will have the opportunity to help our nation's heroes make a true impact. You'll coordinate the interaction between engineering, manufacturing, and program management to ensure appropriate changes are documented and controlled. We'll count on you to ensure configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations. You'll work across organizations with Engineering, Quality, Support and Manufacturing, to coordinate processes and design control. It's a challenge that will put your talent in the spotlight.

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience in executing a Configuration Management/change control process in both a development and manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry and DOD standards, Hardware, and Software Configuration Management practices.
  • Experience in change control boards, approval processes, and comment adjudication.
  • Experience facilitating and conducting Configuration Management audits.
  • Experience in the assessment of Configuration Management services, concepts, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to develop, control, and manage multiple product & allocated baselines.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite applications, Jira, and Product Data Management (PDM) applications.
