Primary Purpose of Organization Unit
The Office of University Communications and Marketing ( UCM) at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is responsible for marketing the university to prospective students, alumni and other constituents, and for brand development and compliance. Additionally, UCM is charged with developing and communicating the university's message through positive media and community relationships. UCM is also the functional division that houses Givens Performing Arts Center
Primary Purpose of Position
The creative services specialist creates and designs graphics and other materials in a wide variety of formats for print and digital media. This position creates client-facing materials and oversees the design aspect of projects from conception to completion in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment. Consults with and serves as a resource to various university constituencies to develop appropriate design solutions based on brand standards and constituent needs, efficiently managing and producing projects on or before the deadline.

Management Preference
Associates degree plus one year of experience is preferred. The Creative Services Specialist must possess diverse experience in graphic design, and knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
