The Opportunity:

The Applications Programmer III designs and configures complex ERP integrations with other systems and organizations. Performs custom application, integrations, data conversions, and ERP development and database management. Provides client support services and infrastructure/server management. Utilizes statistical modeling and data mining techniques to analyze and report university data. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, integrates, modifies, and documents computer programs and applications.

Responsibilities:


  • Programming to prepare specifications of integrations computer programs and applications for development of new applications, modifications and/or enhancements to current applications, or ongoing maintenance of existing applications.

  • Implements user interface based on system design, documents work, packages scripts for deployment, codes, integrates, tests and debugs databases and applications, and creates end user documentation.

  • May create, modify, and maintain SQL relational database tables using SQL scripting language.

  • Maintains, updates, and improves data integrations, applications, and application servers.

  • Develops and maintains custom integrations, web applications.

  • Managing projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision.

  • Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

  • Consults with users and departments to analyze and define business processes and workflows to ensure effective corresponding integrations, computer programs and applications. Provides technical guidance to colleagues as appropriate. Troubleshoots technical issues and recommends enterprise hardware and software modifications.

  • Provides technical support for integrations, applications and server management.

  • Works with various vendors and UCF constituents to configure and test new functionality of software integrations.

  • Ensures security of integrations with respect to UCF policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • In depth knowledge of UCF or other complex higher education institution systems and architecture and databases.

  • Significant experience building and managing Workday integrations, including those for HCM, Financials, and Adaptive Planning.

  • Expertise in agile software development methodologies and SDLC best practices.

  • Experience with work management systems like Microsoft DevOps, ServiceNow SDLC, Jira, etc.

  • Ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to plan, design, configure, and implement system queries, reports, and business process improvements.

  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) design.

  • Ability to understand the needs of the business to develop appropriate digital solutions.

  • Ability to ensure the highest levels of trust in data transparency, compliance, and security.

  • Excellent communication skills.


Special Instructions to the Applicants:

Candidate will be required to work occasional nights and weekends during upgrades or outages. This is not a remote position. Up to 1-3 hybrid work days per week may be available after a probationary period, depending on job duties, project work, and supervisor approval.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,000-$80,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
