The Opportunity:

The Assistant Director, Prospect Development supports UCF Advancement's Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) and Partnerships teams by providing comprehensive prospect research, data analysis, and relationship management. This role serves as a liaison across the university to synthesize actionable data for decision-making, optimize fundraising strategies, and maintain the integrity of Advancement's CRM database and integrated systems.

Responsibilities:

Prospect Research and Analysis:


  • Manage prospect identification, research, and data analysis to support the fundraising goals of the CFR and Partnerships teams.

  • Assess and refine research strategies to maximize fundraising outcomes.


Portfolio Management:


  • Support the development, analysis, and optimization of 6-7 fundraiser portfolios, ensuring alignment with staffing levels and strategic goals.

  • Facilitate quarterly pipeline meetings, one-on-one portfolio consultations, and ad-hoc strategy sessions with fundraisers.


Data Management and Integrity:


  • Maintain and monitor pipeline data through custom report audits, data extracts, and analyses to ensure accuracy in projections, performance metrics, and fundraising outcomes reporting.

  • Update constituent records in the CRM database, including personal and professional details, capacity ratings, news alerts, and other relevant information.


Policy and Strategy Development:


  • Partner with key stakeholders to design and implement internal prospect management policies and procedures.

  • Develop strategies and technological solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within UCF Advancement's fundraising enterprise.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience and 1+years(s) of leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in prospect research, portfolio management, or relationship management within a higher education or nonprofit setting.

  • Proficiency in data analysis via Pivot Table and/or PowerBi, CRM platforms, and reporting tools.

  • Experience with iWave, Foundation Directory Online, Foundation Search, LexisNexis.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.

  • Knowledge of fundraising best practices and data-driven decision-making.


Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $56,030 - $68,637. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
