Overview of the Position:

Address technical issues for FAA approved aftermarket aircraft parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Address drawing change requests, including processing drawing revisions.
  • Address non-conforming product (disposition NCMs, waivers, and RTV forms).
  • Provide technical support for PQE/COS events.
  • Write a Risk Assessment for PQE/COS events.
  • Perform Critical part ICA review.
  • Able to understand part function, the function of each feature, and the NHA function.
  • Able to understand and revise all departmental procedures and specifications.



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Detail oriented.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiar with ASME Y14.5 dimension and geometric tolerance standards.
  • Familiar with manufacturing methods and processes related to the creation of precision machine parts such as gears, bearings, seals, etc.
  • Demonstrated design experience of mechanical or electrical components.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling, with Solid Works experience required.
  • Familiar with FAA certification process of PMA parts.
  • Familiar FAA regulatory guidance applicable to PMA parts.
  • Experience in aerospace design.

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with minimum 8 years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
