We are seeking a Print and Mail Operations Manager to oversee all aspects including internal and external mail distribution, shipping, manual mail sorting, mail assembly, document scanning, photocopy services for the company, high-speed cut sheet and continuous printers to include pre and post processing equipment and mechanical mail inserters.

In this role, you will coordinate activities with Purchasing and Consumer, Business, Financial, Information Technology, Claims, and Human Resources functions to achieve the most efficient and cost-effective use of company resources and services.

What You'll Do

The Print and Mail Operations Manager will be responsible for direct and indirect-reporting staff and the efficient planning, operation and coordination of the various mailroom, scanning and print to mail functions. In addition, you'll:

  • Develop and maintain procedures to meet service levels agreements for inbound mail processing and delivery, outbound mail processing and shipping, transactional/report printing and mechanical mail inserting.
  • Monitor all aspects of production and distribution activities and coordinates operations to ensure most effective and efficient use of resources.
  • Manage inventory control; this includes all materials produced, consumable supplies, furniture and equipment.
  • Be responsible for creation and monitoring of annual budgets including mailroom, enterprise scanning and print to mail.
  • Be knowledgeable of US Postal Service, rules, regulations and guidelines for mailing. Administer and maintain Sentry's access and services provided through the United States Postal Service Business Customer Gateway (BCG).
  • Administers human resource - related activities including timely performance and salary reviews and ensures all subordinates adhere to human resources policies and practices. Selects, develops, motivates and recognizes staff.
  • Develop skills to assist in a variety of print and mail operations functions

What it Takes

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of related work experience including knowledge of mail operations, print to mail, postal regulations, material distribution and inventory management
  • Knowledge of operations and equipment used in the mailroom, enterprise scanning and print to mail
  • Prior management experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in mail services, production printing and inserting and document scanning desired
  • Organization and project management skills
  • Good human relations, leadership, and communications skills
  • Must be available and flexible to work varied hours including early morning, weekends and late nights
  • Associate must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to drive a company car or personal vehicle for company business.
  • Associate must have the ability to travel as necessary to satisfactorily complete their job responsibilities as assigned.
