This position supports the creation and implementation of new strategies by providing strategic solutions to our clients' most complex problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec's culture. We operate under a sell-manage-do culture, and so we expect that you would work on challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management. You will take on project and staff management responsibilities. Key responsibilities include:

    Developing business opportunities with new and existing clients and preparing associated proposals.
  • Meaningful participation and leadership in strategic planning development and implementation for the Northwest Branch.
  • Managing and directing challenging technical projects while leveraging your existing knowledge and experience to help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through industry technical leadership, business development, and client management.
  • Managing and directing multiple remediation and restoration projects within the scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensuring quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Managing the overall delivery of remediation and restoration projects, including project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management.
  • Fostering trust-based relationships with clients, regulatory personnel, and other project stakeholders.
  • Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to repeat business.
  • Mentoring staff in technical, consulting, and business development.
  • Lead recruitment effort key staff hires to grow our practice in the Northwest.


Education and Licensure

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth science (geology or hydrology), engineering (environmental, civil, or chemical engineering), or a related subject. (required)
  • Advanced degree the same. (preferred)
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E, P.G.) (preferred), Washington professional registration (preferred)


Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)
  • Proven leadership skills. (required)
  • Experience managing the overall delivery of projects, including project planning and controls, financial management, change management, risk management, and contract/subcontract management. (required)
  • Detailed understanding of soil and groundwater remediation regulations. (required)
  • Detailed understanding of Washington and Oregon regulations. (required)
  • Detailed understanding of USEPA regulations. (preferred)
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
  • Ability and willingness to travel. (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

This opportunity will be posted for at least five days. Below are the potential compensation ranges that we in good faith believe are applicable for this role at the time of this posting and are only applicable for jobs to be performed in the specified location(s) below. The typical base salary range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec's total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location.

  • Minimum: $156,340/yearly / Maximum: $248,470/yearly (Seattle)
