Due to continued growth, we have an opportunity for a Senior Shipping Coordinator to join our team located at our Racine manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for all outbound shipments from the Racine Manufacturing plant, also serves as the primary logistics agent for domestic and international freight movement. This role will also coordinate and execute Twinco freight shipments in accordance with customer directions and in compliance with TDI and DOT regulations. Working independently and as part of a team, the Senior Shipping Coordinator controls arrangements with freight carriers, forwarders, and third-party logistics companies, and is responsible to ensure shipments and documents meet specific U.S. and International requirements. This position is the central liaison between customer, carrier and forwarder. Additionally, they will partner to help with subcontract shipments and arranging local drop/off pickup's, container utilization for outbound shipments, and they will own the weekly and monthly audit. Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree in Business or Business Logistics related field or equivalent experience. Traffic or shipping logistics experience required. 3-to-5-year experience preferred. Computer Skills: Working knowledge of ERP based system. Experience in JD Edwards Enterprise One, preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Products Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal relationship skills to work with people in various departments and levels of the organization, external customers, freight companies, and forwarders. Strong organizational skills. Ability to perform work independently without direct supervision. Good oral and written communication skills. Technical Requirements: Ability to learn and navigate through various external shipping company web-based logistic systems. Knowledge of governmental laws and regulations as they pertain to international shipments (We ship to approximately 50+ countries). Knowledge of tariff codes and how they relate to international taxes and duties. Work Environment: Work location is the Racine, Wisconsin Primary open office environment with some shop floor presence required. Environment is fast paced with ever changing demands and priorities from both internal and external customers. Specialized Knowledge: General knowledge of DOT regulations as they pertain to freight carriers. General knowledge of Banking terms as they pertain to Letters of Credit and Bank Drafts. Other Requirements: Strong organization skills. Strong interpersonal relationship skills. Accuracy and attention to details Ability to work under stress with severe time constraints.
