Qualifications
-
At least five years of successful teaching experience.

State Principal certification required.

Prior experience as a principal preferred.

Strong communication, team-building, and organizational skills.
Specialized Knowledge

Lead the development and communication of educational goals aligned with the district’s vision.

Provide leadership in organizing and implementing instructional programs and curriculum aligned with state standards, including Common Core.

Use data to identify strengths, address gaps, and improve instruction for all students.

Apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) to create inclusive, supportive classrooms.
-
Promote equity and belonging, focusing on racial equity, LGBTQ inclusion, and support for diverse abilities.

Supervise staff and programs while supporting hiring, orientation, and evaluations.
-
Oversee daily school operations, including custodial, cafeteria, and support services, to maintain a safe and functional facility.

Establish effective discipline practices and foster a positive school climate.

Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage responsibilities promptly and accurately.

Manage budgets responsibly, aligning resources with school goals.

Ensure compliance with School Committee policies and district objectives.
