Therapy Aide - Neuromuscular Therapies, Unscheduled

  • Schedule: Unscheduled between Monday-Friday 8:30am-6:00pm

Your Role and Team - Neuromuscular Therapies:

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Therapy Aide to support our rehabilitation team and help patients in their recovery journey. In this role, you will assist with basic patient care, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety during therapy sessions and daily activities. You may help transport patients to and from therapy, monitor their well-being, and assist the therapist with mobility tasks using proper safety techniques. You will also play a key role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment by managing therapy equipment, performing minor repairs, and stocking necessary supplies. Your ability to anticipate and address equipment needs will ensure smooth, effective therapy sessions. In addition to patient care, you will help to ensure efficient patient flow and communicate any changes to staff and patients. Your Background and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
  • Oregon State Board Administrative Rules requires completion of 40 hours of aide-certified training within six (6) months of hire or transfer to perform treatment-related tasks.
  • Intermediate technological proficiency.
  • Oregon State Board of Physical Therapy Licensing Board Administrative Rules requires an aide to be at least 18 years of age.
  • Strong organizational and clerical skills. Data entry in Excel, Outlook, and Word preferred.
  • Epic experience preferred.
  • Previous professional and or volunteer experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Understanding of medical terminology preferred.
  • Must be a team player and have proven success applying team approach to obtain resolution to an issue.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills for working with the rehabilitation team and patients.
  • An ability to prioritize and adapt to change while working in a high-volume multidisciplinary setting.
