Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital is seeking a Clinical Excellence Program Manager. This position functions as a versatile and multifaceted professional within the nursing field, exhibiting adaptability and a commitment to collaboration. Proficient in providing leadership, education, coordination, and support to their colleagues and other healthcare professionals. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES / SPECIFIC JOB COMPETENCIES 1. Education and Training: This role is a pivotal role in education within the healthcare setting. Responsible for clarifying new medical procedures, demonstrating the use of medical equipment, and clarifying complex medication administration processes. Serves as knowledgeable intermediaries, effectively translating specialized terminology into accessible language for their colleagues and staff. 2. Patient Care Coordination: Serves as facilitators between patients and the appropriate care pathways. Ensures that the treatment plan is implemented cohesively, akin to a meticulously coordinated performance. 3. Patient Assessments: Conducts comprehensive assessments of patients' needs and develop individualized care plans. Serves as navigators, guiding the healthcare process toward achieving optimal patient outcomes. 4. Liaison: Enhances communication among various healthcare professionals. In the event that a connection needs to be established between a surgeon and a radiologist, is available to facilitate this interaction effectively. 5. Mentorship: Ensures that newly licensed nurses are greeted with a warm reception. Imparts their expertise, providing essential guidance, strategies, and insights to assist the newcomers in acclimating to their roles effectively. 6. Quality Improvement: Functions as investigative professionals, meticulously identifying opportunities for enhancing patient care. Proactively advocates for streamlined processes to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness in healthcare delivery. 7. Policy and Procedure Guardians: Comprehensively understands the facility's policies. If a rulebook exists, they have virtually committed it to memory. 8. Specialized Knowledge: Possesses and utilizes expertise in specialized fields such as pediatrics, geriatrics, and oncology, thereby functioning as invaluable sources of knowledge for their specific patient populations. 9. Leadership: During periods of uncertainty and high-pressure situations, effectively rise to the occasion. Acts as composed leaders, guiding their teams with confidence even amidst the chaos of a demanding shift. Their capacity to make prompt, informed decisions facilitates the maintenance of order and ensures that patient care remains the foremost priority. 10. Project Participation: Engages actively in various projects.
