We are seeking a Machine Operator for our customer, County Materials, located in Janesville, WI. Military service members and veterans are encouraged to apply. Job Duties:
- Setup and operation of a paver added value line; carry equipment adjustments, ensuring expected quality, efficiency, consistency, and equipment longevity
- Overseeing packaging of product. Ensure the product is of top quality before, during, and after the packaging process
- Maintaining and practicing a within the safety policy
- Maintaining a production schedule; ensuring all production expectations are met within the schedule
- Maintain the highest achievable quality while maintaining efficiency and consistency; ability to quickly recognize potential issues and react to them
- Maintain daily preventative maintenance and housekeeping
- Maintain a daily maintenance log
Work Environment:
- Work near movingmachinery and equipment - could include electrical hazards
- Work in a noisy environment
- Work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures
Physical Requirements:
- Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds frequently
- Carrying / Lifting > 40 Pounds occasionally
- Standing / Walking / Climbing
- Squatting / Crouching / Kneeling / Bending
- Pushing / Pulling / Reaching Above Shoulder
Expectations:
- Maintaining a cull rate of 2% or less on all product
- Maintaining a production cycle count an average of 1600 per daily shift
- Minimized unscheduled downtime of less than 30 total minutes per day
- Mold change and setup times averaging less than 15 minutes
Desired Skills:
- Strong mechanical background ability to identify and troubleshoot in real-time
- Ability to identify and utilize basic hand and power tools; ability to utilize a tape measure is critical
- Forklift operation
- 2-5 years of machine operator experience
- Strong attention to quality and detail
- Ability to identify and react to a quickly changing environment
- Strong understanding of production processes and the importance of efficiency
- Strong desire to learn
