Supervisor Lead
2nd shift, 2pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday
Pay: $25/hour + based on experience + shift premium
Job Description:
The Supervisor/Shift Foreman is responsible for ensuring the plant is being run efficiently and safely by ensuring schedules are being met for customers, personnel are properly trained, assisting with production when needed, keeping proper documentation & records, ensuring proper safety equipment & protocol are being utilized, and overall keeping the shop morale high. Being able to not only oversee team members but being proactive by assisting them to accomplish the day's goals will be crucial.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with employees on shift to accomplish set schedules & commitments
  • Scheduling of work & communicating as needed with customers
  • Oversee operations on production floor
  • Understand the processing of all material within production areas
  • Ensure plant organization & cleanliness
  • Document all maintenance concerns
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Department for any equipment repairs
  • Document & report all equipment issues to Plant Manager
  • Team Development & Training
  • Working one on one with employees to help in their overall performance
  • Complete semi-annual employee reviews for all team members
  • Provide training, coaching, & disciplinary actions for all team members
  • Maintain documentation of training for employees
  • Conduct startup of new equipment & record all training documents needed
  • Weekly goal assessments of all individuals in temp to hire status
  • Monthly goal assessments of all employees in collaboration with shift foreman
  • Follow & enforce procedures
  • Complete shift checklists daily
  • Manage inter-shift meetings and participate in hourly plant walk-through
  • Ensure adequate shift coverage through employee scheduling & cover hours as needed
  • Must be able to work weekends as needed
  • Communicate lead times to CSR Department
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Acquire/maintain forklift certification
  • 2+ years in heat treating and prior management/leadership
  • Understand Bluestreak and Microsoft Office software & use it efficiently
  • Knowledge and/or previous experience of 6S
  • Be knowledgeable of all plant equipment & procedures
  • Proficient in typing
  • Fluent in English (reading & speaking)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math knowledge
  • Safety-focused mindset
