The Ruggero lab is interested in studying the mechanisms by which alterations in translation control drive tumorigenesis. The applicant will work on specific projects and has a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic group of scientists, with the possibility of publishing in a high-impact journal. The position duties include performing molecular biology techniques such as RNA/DNA extraction, PCR, plasmid preparation, basic cloning, mouse genotyping and dissection, NGS library prep, gel electrophoresis, tissue culture, basic sequence data analysis, scientific writing, organization of data appropriate to the role in the lab, record keeping and data entry, and shared lab responsibilities including reagent preparation, inventory maintenance and safety compliance.
