In this pivotal role, you'll oversee essential accounting functions for our projects, ensuring precision and compliance while driving operational success. Utilizing tools like Oracle Project Costing and OnBase ECM, you'll play a key part in managing project finances, assets, and reporting, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.

What You'll Do

• Partner with plant operations and purchasing teams to review and establish project setups.
• Coordinate with project managers to manage contracts, change orders, and related documentation.
• Handle fixed asset disposals and secure necessary management approvals.
• Monitor project activities, track budgets, and generate custom reports as needed.
• Manage project invoices and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements (lien waivers, affidavits, etc.).
• Work with the Corporate Tax and AP teams to apply accurate tax treatments based on state laws.
• Audit project spend and establish fixed assets for integration into the Oracle Assets module.
• Provide guidance on capitalization policies and assist plant personnel with project-related accounting queries.
• Assist with month-end processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analyses.

What We're Looking For

• Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent; familiarity with GAAP.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Strong communication skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in the agricultural production industry is a plus.
