Job Description:

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for an Expense Analyst to join our team in Minneapolis!

The Expense Analyst is responsible for ensuring expense transactions are appropriately processed and procedures and controls are effectively applied. They are responsible for processing complex payables transactions and resolving related problems. Responsibility also includes reconciling and reporting on Ryan travel and corporate card accounts, actively participating on cross-functional projects, developing policies and procedures to improve efficiencies and providing training to internal staff.

This position requires 4 days per week in the office, with 1 day of remote work each week.

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Review and audit Concur Expense reports to aligned with the Ryan Companies policies.

  • Research and resolve A/P issues and questions with from internal staff and/or Vendor (Concur).

  • Reconcile vendor statements and research missing information.

  • Work with other departments to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies.

  • Research and prepare special reports for management on ad hoc and/or scheduled basis.

  • Identify, communicate, and recommend solutions to process inefficiencies.

  • Track payments due to Ryan Companies from employees.

  • Work with IT to improve the integration points of Concur into the various Ryan Companies systems.

  • Design test scenarios and perform testing for system implementations and upgrades.

  • Create and maintain procedural manuals related to A/P.

  • Provide supporting documentation and/or testing skills related to external audits for AP.

  • Provide support to audit Concur Expense Reports.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-year degree in accounting or related field required.

  • 5+ years of previous accounts payable and/or accounting experience in a large company (revenue > $500M) that utilizes a well-known ERP system, preferably JD Edwards (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Lawson, etc.).

  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience with MS Office applications.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • Experience with Concur.

  • Prior experience with direct responsibility in a large, successful system implementation project.

  • A high attention detail, strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills.

Compensation:

The base pay is $29.94 - $44.90 per hour. The base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
