Description Scope of Work: Disassemble cylinder heads, check for cracks and damage. Clean and rebuild cylinder heads to specs. Paint and preserve heads. Job Responsibilities: Disassemble, clean, die check, and pressure test heads. Rebuild heads to specs and reassemble, preserve, and paint heads. Store in conjunction with status of heads that is customer rebuild inventory Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Must have 2 years previous experience. E.D. or High School Diploma. Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Must have a working knowledge of cylinder heads. Must have a current driver's license and acceptable driving record per WPI insurance company standards. (ONLY IF JOB REQUIRES) Must be able to pass and maintain drug and alcohol testing requirement as outlined by the Department of Transportation. (ONLY IF JOB REQUIRES) Must be computer literate and proficient in a Windows environment (MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend and twist several times a day. Must have the ability to work flexible hours and days. Must have the ability to furnish the appropriate hand tools and pneumatic accessories. Must promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment. Must have the ability to travel and stay overnight. Must have the ability to supervise and motivate others. Must have the ability to effectively evaluate others. Must have the ability to effectively operate forklift Must have the ability to effectively operate overhead cranes Must have the ability to effectively operate head machine Must have the ability to effectively operate head table Must have the ability to effectively operate power washer Must have the ability to effectively operate all other head tools Must have mechanical skills. Working Conditions: Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 7:30m. to 4:00 p.m. Weekend hours; Saturday 7:30 m. to 4:00 (as required) p.m. Outside work and inside shop/office work.
