Regional Head of Logistics & Services Product, North America

Ideal Candidate: Proven leader with a track record in P&L management, commercial growth, global logistics, and product thinking.

Primary Focus: Oversee Maersk's Transported by Maersk (TbM) and Managed by Maersk (MbM) products and operations in the North America (NAM) region.

Key Qualifications:
oSenior leadership experience with P&L accountability.
oStrong commercial acumen with a focus on customer needs and growth.
oDeep understanding of global logistics, transportation, and integrated logistics offerings (experience in Freight Forwarding is a plus).
oStrong analytical and tech-savvy mindset, particularly in AI and digital transformation.
oStrong ability to work in a global matrix and influence stakeholders.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: An ideal candidate has demonstrated

experience in the following

Strategic Leadership & Growth:

  • Lead and drive growth in the TbM and MbM products across the North America region.
  • Institutionalize best practices in product management and performance.
  • Oversee the development and execution of the North American L&S product growth strategy.

P&L and Financial Management

  • Lead P&L for the L&S products in NAM with a focus on revenue growth, profitability, and margin optimization.
  • Develop actionable insights from financial data to support decision-making and product performance

Product Development & Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Lead product strategy for NAM with a focus on scalability and customer-centric innovation.
  • Define clear product roadmaps and market strategies to drive growth and differentiation.
  • Institutionalize customer feedback loops to refine offerings and enhance value propositions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to ensure product adoption and performance.

Leadership & Talent Management

  • Drive team development, creating a high-performance culture and mentoring the next generation of leaders.
  • Foster an environment of accountability, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop and implement upskilling programs and talent management initiatives to build a sustainable team.

Cross-Product & Global Collaboration

  • Facilitate cross-product collaboration within the L&S portfolio to uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment between global and regional strategies, facilitating seamless product and service integration.
  • Lead cross-regional initiatives, leveraging global tools, insights, and best practices.

Digital Transformation & Process Innovation

  • Oversee digital initiatives to enhance product offerings and operational efficiency.
  • Innovate within forecasting, performance management, and cost-to-serve models to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives across product management, sales, and service delivery.

Customer Engagement & Implementation

  • Drive successful customer implementations, ensuring seamless service delivery and satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring their evolving needs are met with tailored solutions.

Accountability & Performance

  • Own the financial targets including P&L, EBIT, and Product Direct Profit (PDP).
  • Ensure alignment between strategic objectives and operational performance across the region.

Cultural Leadership

HIGH-LEVEL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Co-create long-term product roadmaps, define growth strategies, and ensure their successful implementation across the region.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with operations, procurement, customer experience, and other functions to drive product success.
  • Performance Management: Oversee performance across all L&S products, continuously optimizing to achieve P&L goals.
  • Global Coordination: Align regional strategies with global objectives, ensuring smooth execution across markets.
  • Customer-Centric Focus: Lead efforts to drive customer satisfaction through tailored product offerings and ongoing customer engagement.
  • Cross-Regional Leadership: Manage and drive L&S product strategy across regions, ensuring seamless integration of service offerings.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Transition to activity-level zero-based forecasting for improved accuracy and predictability.
  • Growth-Oriented Innovations: Use data and market insights to refine product offerings and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Simplify & Automate Processes: Implement sales, marketing, and performance reporting processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

SUCCESS METRICS

  • A consistent increase in revenue and profitability margins (e.g., Gross Profit Margin, EBITDA) indicating the generation of a robust, profitable growth engine.
  • Increased market differentiation through improved product offerings, showcasing deep craftsmanship and expertise across the portfolio.
  • Enhanced ownership of profit and loss by leadership, leading to better decision-making, resource allocation, and product innovation.
  • Increased contribution to global initiatives and stronger regional performance through improved collaboration, with measurable outcomes like growth in key markets or product areas.
  • Effective leveraging of cross-product opportunities, leading to increased revenue and improved profitability through integrated product offerings.
