Children's Aid College Prep Charter School (1232 Southern Boulevard)

$28/hr

Position Summary: Children's Aid College Prep seeks a Program Coordinator who will coordinate closely with the Assistant Community School Director and school leadership to create and align supports, programming and resources with the rich community culture. The position is in a Community Elementary and Middle School in the Bronx, working collaboratively with Children's Aid and the school staff.

Essential Duties:



  • Build and maintain strong positive working relationships with families.
  • Maintain inventory log on a monthly basis for all items, equipment and furniture purchased, transferred, traded in or discarded.
  • Collect, organize and forward time sheets to Assistant Community School Director on the Friday preceding the Thursday pay day.
  • Assist with the collection of documents for audits and submission of proposals.
  • Communicate regularly with families using various mediums like phone calls, automated messaging and social media.
  • Help ensure high quality programming - offer input on program goals, program design and evaluations of program activities.
  • Assist with generating statistical reports, proposals and program management.
  • Ensure that participant files contain required paperwork and information.
  • Enter participants and program data into various computer databases and other tracking systems and ensure that systems are up to date.
  • Support Assistant Community School Director with special projects and perform additional duties as assigned in support of the program's success.
  • Create and maintain an educationally enriching environment including bulletin boards and displays.
  • Maintain a calendar, schedule appointments and arrange meeting rooms.
  • Provide general clerical support - including filing, faxing, word processing, and typing, photocopying and sorting mail.



Minimum Qualifications:




  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years of experience working within a school or with middle-school students required
