Location: This position will be on-site full-time in Newburyport, MA. The position holder will need to be within commuting distance (within 45 min).

Janitor / Housekeeper Summary:

The Janitor / Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the company's buildings and facilities. This role ensures that all areas, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and meeting rooms are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained to promote a safe and comfortable environment for employees and visitors.

Janitor / Housekeeper Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean, dust, and polish furniture, windows, and surfaces.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in all areas.
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including restocking supplies like soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and break areas, including countertops, sinks, and appliances.
  • Perform routine deep cleaning of carpets, furniture, and other surfaces as required.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and alert management when more supplies are needed.
  • Report any maintenance issues, repairs, or safety hazards immediately.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations regarding the use of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down meeting rooms for events or conferences as needed.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

Janitor / Housekeeper Qualification Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or successful completion of a company-administered equivalency exam.
  • Proven experience as a housekeeper or cleaner in a similar role a plus.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and the safe use of cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings, if required
