Location: This position will be on-site full-time in Newburyport, MA. The position holder will need to be within commuting distance (within 45 min).

This position is for a 2nd shift schedule.

Quality Technician Summary:

Performs general Quality Assurance duties in support of our customers. Under the direction of the Quality Department Manager. The Quality Technician provides support related to corrective action containment, component measurement / testing, product certification and administrative tasks.

Quality Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participates in Root Cause Investigations and provides corrective actions to customer SCARs.
  • Performs FAIR - First Article Inspection Reports to support existing and new product development.
  • Implements preventive action to prevent product failures.
  • Reads blueprints/drawings.
  • Performs Incoming, WIP, and FG inspections.
  • May provide instruction, guidance and direction for manufacturing employees in determining acceptable products.
  • Creates C of C documents for product shipments.
  • Assist engineers with or perform gage and equipment calibration and maintenance.
  • Maintains control system documents and performs general administrative tasks.
  • Maintains organization of the NCM area.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed by department manager.
Quality Technician Qualification Requirements:
  • High school diploma or higher education.
  • Some experience with Quality Standards - ISO 9001 or ISO 13485.
  • Strong English and Math skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • A good understanding of the metric system, general metrology and statistics experience a plus.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certificate/training a plus.
