Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is looking for an experienced Facilities Sr. Specialist to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow.

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 60 years of expertise, GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.



Major Position Responsibilities

    Responsible for ensuring that buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained and functioning properly.
  • On a day-to-day basis, oversees basic maintenance to ensure property is in good condition.
  • Troubleshoots and performs repairs or may coordinate maintenance with outside contractors.
  • Acts as liaison between employees and any outside contractors needed to resolve specialized problems.
  • Maintains appropriate records of physical plant equipment performance and maintenance.
  • Drafts and implements preventive maintenance schedules for buildings and equipment.
  • Interacts with tenant to fulfill lease requirements and respond to service requests.

Manager Specific Requests

  • Manages capital and overhead building projects.
  • Manages capital and overhead equipment projects.
  • Defines required spare parts and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Updates department standard operating procedures.
  • Maintains facility CAD drawings for mechanical, electrical, and structural details.
  • Defines project scope for internal labor and external contracted labor.
  • Manages contractors and internal labor to meet project completion goals.
  • Troubleshoots processes, equipment and building operation issues utilizing root cause and resolution methods.
  • Manages and executes project action plans in order to meet project delivery goals.
  • Works with ERP software, CAD software, MS Office, CMMS (Maintenance Management Software), PLM software, BMS software in order to complete required tasks.
  • Utilizes engineering skills to define small and large scale improvement solutions related to production equipment, building infrastructure equipment, HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, etc.


Basic Qualifications

Manager Specific Requests

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Required

  • Associate's Degree in Facilities, Maintenance or related field & 5-7 years relevent experience required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree.
