Overview

The Third-Party Lending Relationship Manager (Relationship Manager) will conduct both sales and marketing for the mortgage division's Third Party originations team. The Relationship Manager will build a book of business for the origination and delivery of mortgage loan product to and for both HFI and HFS portfolios. The position will acquire, train, and develop Brokers and Bankers in their given territory. In addition, the position will be expected to negotiate residential mortgage product from inception to completion and sale.

This position is responsible for relationship management of Third-Party Origination (Correspondent and Wholesale) counterparties and mortgage products. Determines needs and offers appropriate solutions, identifying sales opportunities via referrals and prospecting efforts. Partners with third-party mortgage originators to promote products, ensuring all activities create value for the Bank. Provides ongoing support and training to customers by answering daily inquiries and resolving issues. Serves as a product resource to both internal and external parties in order to generate revenue and acquire business for the Bank.


Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management - Actively manages and cultivates relationships with Third Party Origination mortgage originators through promotion of Bank products. Handles day to day questions and inquiries regarding programs, guidelines, and updates on new products. Problem solve and advocate on behalf of the customer regarding operational deliveries and service levels.
  • Training - Train new and existing customers on the use of our third-party operations portal, as well as any new products and services rolled out to meet the channels goals.
  • Operations - Partners with operations team to perform a variety of tasks relating to product and client needs. Responds to inquiries, addresses issues, and services client accounts. Reviews documentation and compiles additional information as needed.
  • Prospecting - Conducts analysis of client databases to determine potential business needs. Initiates contact and follows-up to maximize sales presence. Locate new counterparties to obtain initial approval and the subsequent pipeline that will enhance growth of specific products in their given regions to support the bank's lending goals.
  • Community Service and PR - Expectation to help flourish the bank's growth and reputation as a vanguard for underserved communities.
  • Product Proficiency - Maintains knowledge of Third-Party industry products and services and competitor products and services. Utilizes knowledge to identify and recommend the best solutions for Third Party Origination customer needs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Third Party Originations OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Third Party Originations
