Senior Product Engineer - Supplier Quality

In this role, you will directly contribute to electrostatic chuck (ESC) development and supplier engagement.

• You will support the ESC development with the responsibility for performing professional engineering research and evaluation in support of the company's complex semiconductor capital equipment while interacting closely with Lam's electrostatic chuck (ESC) suppliers.
• Have an active role managing ESC projects and products relative to supplier manufacturing development, quality initiatives, supplier selection, problem solving as well as designing and conducting independent experiments and tests.
• Project management duties include working with cross-functional teams consisting of supply business management, engineering, manufacturing, field service and suppliers to provide feedback and requirements during ESC development through to production release.
• You should have excellent problem-solving skills, includingdefining the problem, identify objectives, assessing risk, develop approach, analyze results and provide recommendations.
• Ideal candidate will direct and manage manufacturing process/quality implementation of required changes and modifications that include a variety of processes such as metal machining, adhesive bonding, ceramic material production and grinding as well as anodize and coating.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines in Materials Science,Mechanical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering. An advanced degree applicants encouraged.
• Twelve (12) years of product development, supplier engagement, customer support experience with capital equipment or similar industries comprising electro-mechanical systems of high complexity
• Working knowledge of ceramics, metals, coatings, polymers, and high temperature materials including fabrication techniques and engineering properties, thermal and electrical systems; experience with electrostatic chucks manufacturing and development.
• Strong project management, organizational and communication skills within organization and outside suppliers; with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage by influence and drive results with all levels of the organization inside and outside.
• Experience in leading complex root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Ability to travel within US and internationally 20% of time

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
