Description

Job purpose

The Service Parts Expeditor I receives and processes all shop parts orders. Assist with special projects as instructed. Maintain accurate records of parts and truck inventory. Assists in shipping/receiving of all new equipment. Maintaining and staging parts for jobs. Assist with all shipping duties as necessary. Assist with all receiving as necessary. Insure that all orders are shipped daily as required. Basic responsibilities such as cleaning and organizing the staging/shop areas. Any additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Duties and responsibilities



  • Order and track Preventative Maintenance Parts.
  • Order and track Service Department parts.
  • Research parts for quotes and for service jobs.
  • Create all purchase orders for parts.
  • Receive and process all purchase orders.
  • Buck slip all vendor invoices.
  • File and maintain all warranty claims from all manufacturers.
  • Allocating for buy-out inventories.
  • Validate parts usage during job progress and after completion of jobs.
  • Determine if job is ready to close and send to supervisor for final disposition.
  • Ensure accurate record of Truck Inventory.
  • Ensure accurate warehouse inventory at all time.
  • Prepare and process all shipping and receiving of all new units.
  • Ensure accurate accountability of all new unit inventories.
  • Manage account for uniforms with contracted uniform company.
  • Transporting of parts between warehouse and preventative maintenance staging areas as required.
  • Maintain upkeep of staging area and equipment.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by
  • Help train new parts persons when required by manager.
  • Promote good welfare among the company and its' divisions.


Qualifications



  • Must have 2 years previous experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in parts or service department


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Must have a working knowledge of the above titled position and how it relates to the overall business and its' objectives.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in a Windows environment (MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds. (ONLY IF JOB REQUIRES).
  • Must be able to bend and twist several times a day.


Working Conditions



  • Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8m. to 5 p.m.
  • Weekend hours as necessary.
  • Office indoor work.
