Job Skills / Requirements We are looking for a Full-Time College Campus Security Officer at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA! Starting Pay: $16.50/hour 2nd shift position Tuesday - Saturday 4pm to 12pm. Could be asked to cover other open shifts as needed. Days off Sun/Mon, set by Site Supervisor. Has the opportunity to get raises based on performance. Must be able to interact & cope with students and visitors on campus. Previous security experience. Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable. Must be willing to submit to a background and drug test. Previous security, military, or law enforcement preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person! Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security Warn violators of premise rules and regulations Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts Report any facility issues Request emergency personnel for high risk situations This position is 50% walking and 50% driving.
