Scale Attendant Cashier

E.L. Harvey & Sons has an immediate opening for a Scale House Attendant to join the team at our transfer station in Rochester, MA. Successful candidates are those who seek to thrive in an environment of operational excellence and accountability.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.

Schedule - Monday through Friday, 6:45am to 4:30pm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station.

• Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures.

• Calculate payments for customers.

• Closing duties include balancing cash drawer, as well as reconciling the credit card machine or POS system.

• Ensure incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material.

• Approach all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced work environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.

• Must have flexible availability to include weekends.
