Quality Inspection Supervisor

As a Quality Supervisor with PPG Aerospace, you will lead teams, provide technical expertise for complex issues, and ensure effective and efficient quality flow. This is a fully onsite position at our Sylmar, CA. facility. You will report to the Quality Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve quality goals through accurate planning to meet schedules and deliver high quality products, which meet specifications
• Ensure safe use of tools, equipment, and materials used within the quality department, while maintaining a safe and clean working environment to ensure safety of all employees
• Manage staff selection, performance and development processes to ensure team proficiencies and capabilities to reach goals
• Coordinate work schedules, staffing requirements, and quality sequences to maximize productivity
• Identify and/or solve problems related to quality process/flow and provide quality reports to assist process improvement
• Contribute to the development of processes
• Supervise daily activities of quality area to ensure that safety, volume, cost, and quality standards are achieved
  

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• 2+ years of supervisory, lead or management experience in a Manufacturing or Quality environment with a bachelor's degree, but will consider experience additional years of experience in lieu of degree
• Current holder of or willing to obtain a DoD security clearance with PPG support.
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Understanding of First Article inspections per AS9102 is ideal
• Understanding of requirements for inspections and calibration in Quality
• May need to work some weekends, minor variation in schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

• Base Salary Range $95,00-$110,000 plus annual bonus
