Our Commercial Space team is positioned to contribute to the future of space exploration as we build partnerships with established leaders in Commercial Space. The Commercial Spaceflight Engineer will have the opportunity to play in a role in various commercial space endeavors with our partners that include Axiom Space, Intuitive Machines, Lockheed Martin, and others. Responsibilities
The Commercial Spaceflight Engineer will:
Apply engineering principles and techniques to requirements validation, product development, product integration, requirements verification, system validation, and hardware/software product deployment
- Perform concept trade studies, requirements management, test & verification, and modeling and analysis as required.
- Create and/or evaluate designs to ensure they meet customer satisfaction and engineering principles
- Establish working relationships with customer counterparts, requirement owners, and commercial teammates' key personnel to promote mission success
- Support engineering activities such as requirements identification, development, verification, and tracking
- Develop processes and strategies to support cross-functional teams supporting spacecraft engineering or operations
- Provide technical systems knowledge during major project milestones and project reviews
- Use technical expertise to increase efficiency, accuracy, and quality of engineering deliverables
- Perform all other assigned duties.
Qualifications

Location may be in Houston, TX or Denver, CO. Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus five (5) years of appropriate work experience, or MS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school in lieu of two (2) years of experience.

- BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus ten (10) years of appropriate work experience, or MS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school in lieu of two (2) years of experience.

- BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus fifteen (15) years of appropriate work experience, or MS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school in lieu of two (2) years of experience.

- BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus twenty (20) years of appropriate work experience, or MS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school in lieu of two (2) years of experience.
- Engineering or operations experience working on Space system
- Experience working on cross-discipline engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders
- Applied working knowledge of engineering practices associated with the definition, design, development, verification, implementation, testing, integration, and validation of complex systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
Preferred Educaiton/Expereince/Skills:
- Working experience with Human Space Exploration programs (Gateway, ISS, Orion, etc.)
- Experience with requirement development, documentation, and review
- Experience developing technical documentation
- Experience with RF Comm Flight software development experience
- Master of Science degree in Engineering
Essential Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

- May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
- Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.

- Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
- Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.

- Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
- This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
